Timu is a social enterprise that builds local teams for constructive dialogue between local communities, government and energy companies in conflict-prone environments in Africa, Asia and beyond. Our work focuses on community development and capacity strengthening of affected communities, civil society and local government to ensure they can participate in decision-making over the use of natural resources in a meaningful and respectful way.

Timu’s team of associates reflects the multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary contexts in which we work. We are experienced professionals who share a passion to make a positive and practical difference in relationships between different stakeholders, particularly at community level. Our active participation in relevant local and international networks provides us with unique access to information and opportunities to influence and sometimes even shape policies and behaviour.
