Timu is a flexible team of independent consultants who know what it means to develop constructive dialogue between local communities, government and private sector companies in complex environments in Africa, Asia, Latin America and beyond. Our work focuses on improving company social performance and strengthening the capacities of affected communities, civil society and local government to ensure they can participate in decision-making over the use of natural resources in a meaningful and respectful way.

Timu’s team of associates reflects the multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary contexts in which we work. We are experienced professionals with varied sector and thematic skills, all sharing a passion to make a positive and practical difference in relationships between different stakeholders, particularly at community-level. Our different backgrounds and active participation in relevant local and international networks provide us with unique access to information, people and opportunities to influence dynamics on and around project sites.
